Order cancellation
Dahlia tuber purchases can be cancelled any time via e-mail before your shipment date.
All purchases are final once tubers have shipped. No returns or refunds after shipment, but may replace tubers. Please take a picture of the damaged tuber within 24 hours and e-mail us for a replacement. I will refund the purchase cost in the event I do not have a replacement. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact Bernice@ducksanddahlias.com with your concerns, and we can try to remedy your issue.
Viability
Your tuber is guaranteed to be viable. It will have at least one eye, if not more. I will not ship out tubers that I cannot identify eyes on. If for some reason you ordered a tuber and the only ones I have left are potentially non-viable, I will refund your order. Tubers will be firm, labeled, and ready to be planted as soon as you get them.
Virus/disease
I cannot 100% guarantee that your tubers will be virus-free, but I do my absolute best to only keep healthy stock, cull suspicious stock, and sanitize between every plant. I do not have the resources to send samples of every plant to a lab for testing. I use a 20% bleach mix between all plants while taking cuts and dividing tubers. I sanitize my work space between clumps while dividing.
I utilize a lot of predatory insects to keep pests at bay that can spread viruses. My garden is overrun with praying mantises and assassin bugs - they're my best defense!
Tuber failure
Tubers are subject to rot if planted in conditions that are too wet. I highly suggest starting your tuber in a pot to make sure it sends out roots before transitioning it into the ground if you have soil that isn't well drained/water-logged. Once my tubers get to you, it is your responsibility to give it the best chance for success! I include planting information packets with your purchase if you intend to plant tubers directly in the soil.
Disclaimer
There is always risk when buying tubers and Ducks & Dahlias is not responsible for any monetary compensation beyond a replacement/refund for the purchased tuber.
